Where do the divergences come from?

Our own hourly scan of the 80 most-traded Binance perps' 4h candles and their daily resample: fractal price pivots against RSI and the MACD histogram. Confirmed divergences have three closed bars after the second pivot; forming and watch states show the shape before confirmation.

Is a divergence a trade?

A reason to look at the chart, not an entry. Regular divergences flag exhaustion, hidden ones continuation; strength is RSI points or the histogram gap in units of its own typical size.
